My name is Ingrid, I am a Brisbane based freelance photographer. I specialise in wedding, documentary, commercial, fashion and art photography.
Photography has always been a passion of mine; from a very young age I was running around taking photos of anything and everything. I grew up in a creative household, my mother an artist and my father an art/manual arts teacher, who both loved the art of photography as well.
In my early 20's I decided to study photography at Griffith University. The Bachelor of Photography pointed me in the right direction, where I could turn my passion/hobby into a career. The past 5 years documenting clients weddings and memories have been the most fulfilling and happiest years of my life. I absolutely love my job!
What Weddings mean to me!
The first wedding I ever attended was my cousins wedding in 1994, I was 5 years old. I remember this day clearly, I was so envious of the bride as she walked down the isle. From that day onward all I wanted to do was get married, I would play dress ups in my sisters clothing and steal her lipstick, she still brings it up to this day.
I feel so blessed to working in the wedding industry and I am extremely lucky to be doing what I love. Each and every wedding that I have documented has been a different experience, and they are all so unique from each other. It makes me extremely happy that I get to document my clients big day and they get to keep those memories forever.
On October 13th 2018, I finally got to have my time as a bride. As you can see in the image, it was a very wet and muddy wedding, but it was the most magical day of my life. The day seems a little blurry now, but I will cherish these photos forever.
